SnowMountain Vonkel Chenin Blanc NV is a sparkling wine made from Chenin Blanc grapes sourced from old vines in selected Western Cape vineyards. To preserve freshness, the grapes are harvested early, gently pressed, and fermented at low temperatures in stainless steel tanks. The second fermentation also takes place in the tank creating a fine, persistent mousse. Following fermentation, the wine rests on its fine lees for eight weeks to develop richness and texture before bottling.
The wine displays vibrant aromas of ripe yellow fruit, honey, toasted brioche, and a hint of candied citrus. On the palate, it is lively and well-structured, featuring a vigorous mousse, a creamy mouthfeel, and a soft, dry finish.
